Hi, I’m Ella.
My journey with journaling really began after my life changed in 2019, when I entered recovery from alcoholism following years of anxiety, depression, and feeling completely disconnected from myself.
In early recovery, people around me encouraged me to write things down — my thoughts, my feelings, the things I couldn’t quite say out loud yet. At the time it felt simple, almost too simple. But over time, I realised just how powerful that act was. Writing helped me slow down, make sense of my emotions, and gently begin to heal.
Alongside recovery, I’ve spent years in therapy and exploring spiritual practices that taught me the importance of reflection, grounding, and setting intentions — not in a rigid way, but in a way that feels kind and supportive. I started looking for a journal that brought all of that together: structure and softness, depth and calm, guidance without pressure. But I couldn’t find anything that truly felt complete.
So as I approached five years sober, in April 2024, I decided to create it myself.
The Mind Plan Journal isn’t a journal for people in recovery. It’s for anyone who wants to feel more connected to themselves, reduce overwhelm, build healthier habits, experience emotional growth, and create moments of stillness in a busy, noisy world.
Every page has been carefully designed with therapist-approved prompts, grounding daily check-ins, monthly reflections, and over 250 affirmations — all created to help you slow down and live more intentionally, one day at a time.
My story is part of the journal’s roots, but the journal itself is for every woman who wants her life to feel lighter, clearer, and more grounded — no matter where she’s starting from.
One of the most unexpected joys of creating The Mind Plan Journal has been connecting with the women who use it. I’ve genuinely loved having personal conversations with customers about their journeys so far — their reflections, their struggles, their small wins. If you ever feel like sharing your experience, or just want to say hello, please know you’re always welcome to reach out to me.
If this journal can help you even a fraction of how writing helped me, then every step of this journey has been worth it.
With love,
Ella
